How much is a used Pioneer VSX-4000 worth?
I got a “new” Realistic STA-2270 receiver for my birthday. I’m looking to sell my Pioneer VSX-4000, but I’m not exactly sure how much a used one is worth. The only problem with it is that it’s a little dusty, other than that it’s practically immaculate.

Unfortunately it will not be worth much.
There are basically two types of people out there who are interested in audio equipment. The ones who like to buy the latest and greatest and those who like the warm, vintage sound. Unfortunately, this receiver doesn’t fit into either category since it doesn’t have any modern connections and Pioneer isn’t really known for their vintage products.
I did see one on eBay for $48 though, which is surprising. You can always try posting it on there. I have a feeling that’s about the only way you will be able to get anything for it.
Realistic STA-180 receiver from 1972. Also Realisic MC-1200 speakers.
