Integrated Amp
Can I cable an integrated amp to drive a descreet amp with out over driving the amp?
I have an integrated amp with a host of back panel inputs and outputs but the amplifier section is weak. Can I use one of the outputs from the integrated amp to safely drive a stand alone amp? Thanks in advance for any help! Bob
Only if the integrated amp has “preamp out” jacks. These jacks are controlled by the Volume Control of the integrated amp. The “tape outputs” will always be full volume. That may be ok for you if you don’t mind controlling the volume at the power amp (discrete amp).
